Counterstrike
Cape Town duo of Animal Chin and 500 Mills, DJing since the mid 1990s and producing together since 1998, widely credited as pioneers of South African drum n bass. Their catalogue runs from the Wardance EP on Moving Shadow (2005) to the album Insubordination (2008) and the From Beyond The Grave EP on their own Algorythm label, alongside work for Human Imprint, Barcode and PRSPCT. They founded and hosted Homegrown at Mercury Live (2000 to 2012), later moved overseas to Prague, and came back to play Roxy in Woodstock in September 2026.
