Science Frikshun's sister night, historically a midweek jungle and liquid session at Great Dane and Club And in Braamfontein, co-run by RudeOne and Mr Green. It was where Sol Pillars first heard drum n bass in 2014, and it now pops up at Carfax and in the AND Garden.

Cape Town drum n bass event series and record label run by Among Us, throwing all-night parties with local heavyweights and international guests. Its nights have included UNGLUED at Club Paradise, a takeover of the Quasar stage at Little Forest and a Propaganda vs As Above So Below clash at Carfax in Johannesburg.

Homegrown
Monthly first-Saturday drum n bass night run by Counterstrike and Algorythm at Mercury Live (first called The Jam) from September 2000 to 3 November 2012, drawing around 650 people per night. Guests included Pendulum and Dieselboy, and it is often called the longest running drum n bass event in South Africa.
Hyphen presents Liquid Sundays
Free monthly liquid drum n bass afternoon hosted by Hyphen on the first Sunday of the month at Batanga on Kloof Street.

Gauteng drum n bass crew founded by Ambush, with DJ P among its DJs in 2003.
It Came From The Jungle
Cape Town's flagship drum n bass brand, started by Niskerone as a weekly at Fiction DJ Bar in May 2006 and later known for warehouse raves and open air parties. It co-promotes Liquicity Cape Town with Science Frikshun and is marking 20 years in 2026 with a four-part warehouse series at Alley Cape Town. Past guests include Pendulum, Noisia, Camo & Krooked and Sigma.

Liminil
Cape Town crew and event brand built around deep, dark and minimal drum n bass, curated by Niems. Alongside their own numbered club nights, they launched the Quasar drum n bass stage at Little Forest Festival NYE 2025/26 and hosted the first Dust & Bass retreat in the Karoo in June 2026.

Events company founded by Stay-C in 2019 under the tagline for the outliers, focused on inclusive drum n bass parties that spotlight South African talent.
Open Signal
Cape Town night for deeper bass music (140, dub, drum n bass, breaks and UKG), co-founded by TE_RA and Sol Pillars. Nine editions in, it has moved from Hexagon to The Electric in District Six and Encounters on Hout Street, with guests like Dakota and TehSynes.
Pressure
Homegrown's successor at Mercury Live, hosted by Hyphen, RudeOne and SFR, which moved through the styles across a night from liquid early on to jump up and tech at peak time. Active at least until 2016.
Propaganda 011
Large drum n bass rave founded in 2017 and based at Carfax in Newtown, run by Xerowan with ticketing through Good Vibes Cartel. It bills itself as Africa's loudest drum n bass rave and spun off the Propaganda011 label in 2020.
Raw Flex
Gqeberha drum n bass night co-founded by Real Feels, with editions at Lux Nightclub, including the launch of Real Feels' album in 2024.
SIES
Cape Town night for drum n bass, jungle and UKG, co-founded by Gatsby Sauce. Curated lineups, raw sound and real energy.
Sanctuary DNB
Johannesburg drum n bass crew and event, represented by veteran Toby One and organised by Radikill.
Science Frikshun
Johannesburg's longest running drum n bass night, created by RudeOne and CutKeyLow in the late 2000s and now run by RudeOne with Sol Pillars, with more than 100 events, festival stages such as Twilight and the Newtown Takeover street festival (started 2010). It has hosted artists from Shogun Audio, RAM, Get Hype and Liquicity, and co-promotes Liquicity Cape Town.
Sublime
Crew co-founded in 1994 that started The Jungle Show on Bush Radio and helped put jungle and drum n bass on the map in Cape Town. The show lives on as the Sublime Drum n Bass Show hosted by Hyphen.
System of Synergy
Dark drum n bass and neuro night presented through Dynasty Events, which launched in Johannesburg in 2023 and held its first Cape Town edition in April 2024. In October 2026 it brings Yamatai Records to South Africa for the first time.
Tempo
Liquid and jungle drum n bass collective founded in 2012 by TehSynes and DJ A33, later joined by DJ Tempo and MC Tan.
The Konklave
Gauteng neurofunk community and event brand devoted to growing the heavier side of drum n bass in South Africa. It throws weekend festivals at Die Joint in Broederstroom near Hartbeespoort Dam, including the Winter Solstice in June 2024 and a three day open air festival in early 2025 with Counterstrike, TR-Tactics and The Duplicates, and runs its own label, The Konklave Records. In August 2025 it brought a Neurosonic Syndicate showcase to Hexagon in Cape Town.
